Shishino bowl

The prompt for this project was to "manufacture something unique that fulfills a purpose {so no art sculptures}." I decided to create a water-tight, aluminum serving dish emblazoned with our family crest.

Process

Through ideating, sketching, CAD modeling, and prototyping, I refined the concept of the bowl over the course of 10 weeks. The final product was manufactured on the lathe and by sand casting, finished by sanding and anodizing.
